About Daniel Negreanu:
Daniel Negreanu is probably the most recognized
Canadian
poker player out there. He can be frequently found on TSN
playing in the WSOP and WPT poker tournaments. The four WSOP
bracelets that he won were for a $2000 PL Holdem tournament in 1998, a
$2000 H.O.S.E tournament in 2003, and he won $2000 Limit Holdem
tournaments in 2004 and 2008. He was the youngest WSOP bracelet
winner, when he won his first WSOP bracelet in 1998. Daniel
Negreanu is a poker player that has a good read on people, which helps
his game a lot. Many times he will see how his opponent will react
to certain plays and will usually have a pretty good idea how far behind
or ahead he is on his hand. Sometimes his reading skills are so
good, he can guess the opponents exact hand.
Daniel started gambling at a young age. He also mentored
Evelyn Ng, who
was his girlfriend at the time. By the age of sixteen, he
had already knew how to play poker and was hustling at the poker tables.
He dropped out of school to start playing poker, just a few credits
short of finishing. He played at the local Ontario casinos until
he turned 21 and gave Las Vegas a chance, but it wasn't long before he
was back in Ontario to build his bankroll back up.
