Your Canadian online poker
resource!
#1 Credit Cards:
Accepted everywhere of course, but occasionally your
credit card may deny a purchase at an online poker room. We have
found that if you talk to your credit card company, they will eventually
let you transfer money into your poker account.
#2 Moneybookers: Use this
payment processor if you can't make a deposit by credit card or if you
are a winning player and will be needing frequent withdrawals.
Fees for transferring funds to and from your account is minimal and the
service is quick, secure and reliable. Moneybookers is also
accepted at virtually every online poker room and casino.
#3 Instadebit: Not accepted
everywhere, but can be found at some of the best poker sites.
Could become much more popular if Moneybookers ever bans poker players
from Canada. Accepted at
Betfred Poker and at the
Fulltiltpoker.com website.
#4 Click2Pay: Was never a big
processor in Canada, but was popular in the USA for a few months after
the NETeller ban on Americans. Its no longer available for the
U.S., but still accepted here. Fees are decent and service is
good. Accepted at
Pokerstars.com and
PDC Poker.
#5 EcoCard: Same story as
Click2Pay.
PDC Poker allows deposits with your Eco Card.
#6 eWallet Express: High fees,
don't use it unless the above five bans us.
#7 Western Union: High fees,
but the poker rooms will usually pay the cost. Use this option if
you do not have a credit card and are only a casual player.
Betfred and Poker Stars allows Western Union payments.
#8 Wire Transfer:
Good for sending large amounts of
cash only. Betfred accepts wire transfers to their poker room and
casino.
Current Status: How easy is it for Canadians to deposit funds into their poker accounts? It is actually a lot easier than you may think. Many online poker players from Canada may have been spooked when NETeller, FirePay and then eventually ePassporte left the Canadian market, but there isn't much to fear at all. Read our reviews and rankings on the most popular payment options for us Canadians and where they are accepted.
